Developing healthy habits has the power not just to change you, but the world around you. Whether it’s unrolling your yoga mat every day, staying properly hydrated, or just 10 mindful breaths, habits form our health, mindset, and surrounding environment.
Project Joy, a strong partnership between Habuild and the Charlie Foundation, transcended yoga and breathwork, and it went deeper into sustainable soil. Amidst the natural scenery of Banera, Rajasthan (311401), this project was not a mere plantation campaign. It was a movement to give life to dry land, bring back green cover, and cultivate joy, one sapling at a time.

A Hill of Hope on NH 12
Charlie Nature Park, just off National Highway 12, has become home to something amazing. We planted 10,000 trees on a little, under appreciated hill together.
You may have driven past it on a road trip, but soon it’ll catch your eye all over again — this time as a lush, rejuvenated space with greenery all around.
With the Miyawaki method, a revolutionary new way of afforestation from Japan, the property will become a dense, rapidly growing, and sustainable forest within a couple of years. What’s remarkable about this approach is its potential to mimic the structure of a natural woodland using local plants, resulting in a diverse, rich, and sustainable ecosystem even on poor ground. The areas for cultivation, choosing saplings, excavation, as well as preparation of soil, began in the first week of October. Batches of saplings, in groups of 1,000, started getting planted in the last week of October and were concluded on November 24th,2024.
Why the Environment Needs Us
India is confronted with increasing environmental issues linked to deforestation, desertification, increasing pollution, and loss of biodiversity. In areas such as Rajasthan, where an arid climate prevails, even minor alterations in land use or vegetation can have a tremendous impact on ecology.
That’s where Project Joy comes in:
- 10,000 trees will increase green cover and reduce carbon footprints.
- They will bring back balance into the local ecosystem.
- Miyawaki method promotes dense planting, enhancing oxygen production as well as soil health.
- The trees will serve as a buffer against soil erosion, particularly on the hill.
And the happiness does not stop there. Neighborhoods surrounding Charlie Nature Park will all enjoy cleaner air, shade, and maybe most significantly, hope. People who live around Charlie Nature Park will be able to see how tiny beginnings give rise to enormous transformations.

The Power of Collaboration
All this would not be achievable without joint vision and values. Habuild fully funded this project, because growth should include giving back. Charlie Foundation, with deep local roots and environmental specialties, carried out the plantation with dedication and professionalism.
These types of partnerships are what we aim to create on a daily basis in our yoga classes. When you join a session, you don’t simply stretch out muscles, you are establishing consistency, exchanging energy, and inspiring change into other people.
With our referral program, for each 10 friends that were invited for Habuild’s free yoga challenge, 1 tree was also planted in that person’s name. Your dedication to appearing on the mat created actual, real change in the planet. A healthier you helped make a healthier planet.

Planting Trees, Planting Purpose
We all say how much we want to do something for the environment, and Project Joy is evidence that with a collective intention, positive change can be made, with joy!
This hillside forest isn’t just an ecology. It’s a legacy. Each tree is a silent vow made towards generations to come. A vow to cleaner air, more fertile soil, and more organic dreams. It’s also a reminder that habits build history. Just like practicing yoga every day slowly improves your well-being, contributing towards the environment improves the world we live in.
Habuild’s Bigger Purpose.
Habuild is frequently linked with yoga, and for good reason. Thousands attend our sessions everyday to stretch, breathe, and smile. Habuild, however, is more than yoga. It’s a movement towards holistic habit building, for your body, your mind, and your environment.
When we talk about building better habits, we are not referring only to personal routines. We believe in habits with a sustainable impact, with a ripple effect. That philosophy is echoed in what we call Project Joy. Just as yoga grounds us, helps us connect with what’s important, planting trees grounds our relationship with nature.
Yoga teaches patience, presence, and perseverance. Planting a forest does, as well.
And just as you don’t require an elaborate studio in order to practice yoga, only a bit of room and intention, neither do you require elaborate actions in order to serve the environment. Often, it begins with one conscientious choice. One tree. One step. One community.

A Green and Healthy Future Awaits
This year, we welcome you, yes, you reading these words, to be a part of it in your own way.
